Het Turks Nationaal Verkeersbureau is de officiële vertegenwoordiging in Nederland van het Turkse Ministerie van Cultuur en Toerisme. Het bureau promoot Türkiye, alsmede de Turkse cultuur en zorgt ervoor dat Türkiye een van de meest populaire vakantiebestemmingen in Nederland blijft. Ook heeft het bureau een informerende en adviserende rol voor vragen over reizen naar Türkiye of over samenwerkingen met professionals in de sectoren toerisme en cultuur.

Alle nieuwsCappadocia skies coloured with the world's most exciting balloons
Cappadocia, the famous region of Türkiye for its fairy chimneys, hosted fun hot air balloons with different shapes. Balloons with 22 figures from England, Switzerland, USA, Germany, France, Belgium, Spain, Portugal, Slovenia, Macedonia, Luxembourg and Türkiye performed demonstration flights. Domestic and foreign tourists showed great interest in the hot air balloons colored with the special pattern designs of the artists, with various figures such as “Ice Cream”, “Duck”, “Obelix”, “Octopus”, “Space Shuttle” and “Turkish Flag”.

lees meerTÜRKİYE ANNOUNCES AT WTM: Over One Million Turkish Hotel Beds Are Now Sustainably Verified & Certified
Over one million hotel beds in Türkiye have now received sustainable tourism verifications and certificates, according to figures released today by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism, at the beginning of WTM. More than 7,500 hotels containing 1,044,189 beds have been awarded Sustainable Tourism Verifications and Certificates within Türkiye’s National Sustainability Tourism Program. The certification process is an integral part of Türkiye’s programme, which has been developed in partnership with the Global Sustainable Tourism Council – with which Türkiye was the first country in the world to sign an agreement on a government level.

Following the UN General Assembly’s decision, March 30th is now celebrated as International Zero Waste Day worldwide. The UN General Assembly declared International Zero Waste Day, with Türkiye as the main presenter and 105 countries as co-presenters.

Tijdens recente opgravingen in de Turkse vindplaatsen Göbeklitepe en Karahantepe, behorend tot de oudste neolithische vindplaatsen ter wereld, zijn zowel menselijke als dierlijke sculpturen ontdekt. De negen archeologische vindplaatsen van het Taş Tepeler-project (“stenen heuvels”) werpen daarmee andermaal nieuw licht op de prehistorie.
