Türkiye sluit het derde kwartaal van 2024 af met recordresultaten in toerisme

31 oktober 2024 - In de eerste negen maanden van 2024 heeft Türkiye 49,2 miljoen bezoekers verwelkomd en 46,9 miljard USD aan toerisme-inkomsten behaald. Toerisme in Türkiye groeit sterk in eerste helft van 2024

Het aantal bezoekers aan het mediterrane land steeg in de eerste zes maanden van 2024 met 13,9%. Het Turkse Ministerie van Cultuur en Toerisme presenteerde de resultaten van de eerste helft van 2024 tijdens een persconferentie in İstanbul. Mehmet Nuri Ersoy, Minister van Cultuur en Toerisme, meldde dat het aantal bezoekers aan Türkiye in de eerste helft van 2024 met 13,9% is gestegen vergeleken met vorig jaar, naar 26,1 miljoen. De toerisme-inkomsten in dezelfde periode groeiden met 9,3% tot 23,7 miljard USD. De gemiddelde dagelijkse uitgave per bezoeker kwam uit op 98 USD. Türkiye has 5 new Intangible Cultural Heritage elements inscribed on the UNESCO Lists

Türkiye’s five new values have been inscribed to UNESCO’s UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage Lists. The announcement was made during the 18th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage held in Kasane, Republic of Botswana, from 4 to 9 December 2023. With this inscription, the number of the country’s cultural elements inscribed on UNESCO Lists has risen to 30. Thus, Türkiye also became the second country on the lists with the most cultural values.
